Minimum Eligibility for Participation in Admission Test:
- An applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
- The applicant must have passed the HSC/equivalent examination in 2021 or 2022 from any Secondary and Higher Secondary/Madrasa/Technical Education Board in Bangladesh. It is mandatory for students to earn a grade point average of 4.00 on a scale of 5.00.
- The applicant must have an aggregate GPA of 8 (including 4th subject) in the science group in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
- For the HSC examination, the applicant must achieve a minimum of 3.50 grade points in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry and at least 3.00 grade points in English, for a total of 15.50 grade points or higher.
- The candidate must have passed GCE “O” label and “A” level examinations in November, 2021 or later with at least B grades in five papers at GCE “O” level, and at least B grades in physics, chemistry, and mathematics at GCE “A” level. A cash payment of 1500 should be made to the Director of Textile Department in order to obtain an Equivalence Certificate. By 20/05/2023, submit your attested registration card, roll number, and diploma for “O” level and A level examinations to the Director General, Directorate of Textiles.
Reserved Seats:
In every college, there will be an additional 2 Freedom Fighter Quota (FFQ) seats as well as 1 Tribal Quota (TRI) seat. This will result in a total of 3 seats reserved. If the candidate is not able to find the quota, it will be empty. The necessary documents for proving that the quota’s candidates meet the requirements must be presented.
Application Fee:
BUTEX affiliated colleges have an application fee of 1000 BDT which has to be paid in order to take part in the admission test. Students should have to apply online for the admission test and then pay the admission fee via SMS once they have been accepted into the program.
Admission Application Process:
- On the website http://dot.teletalk.com.bd candidates can fill up the application form for the exam.
- Starting date and time for online application form filling and examination fee submission: 02/05/2023, Time: 10 a.m.
- Last date and time for online application form filling and examination fee submission: 04/07/2023, Time: 5 PM. Applicants who have received User ID within the said period will submit the examination fee via SMS within 72 hours from the time of online application submission.
2. In order to apply for the position, a color photo of the candidate (length 300 pixel, width 300 pixel), as well as their signature (length 300 pixel, width 80 pixel) must be scanned and uploaded into the designated place on the application form. There should be a maximum size of 100 kilobytes for the photograph and a maximum size of 60 kilobytes for the signature.
3. All information entered in the application form will be used in all subsequent activities, so the candidate must be 100% sure that all information is correct before submitting the application.
4. The applicants should keep a printout of the completed application form as an aid for any examination-related requirements in the future.
Process of Sending SMS and Fee:
- If the application form is completed correctly and submitted by attaching the photo and signature as instructed, a preview of the application form and image can be viewed on the computer. A copy of the application form with a user ID, photograph, and signature will be sent to applicants who have submitted their application form accurately. Download or print the applicant copy and save it. On the applicant copy, there will be a User ID number.
- By using the user id number, the candidate will deposit the application fee of Rs. 1000/- (one thousand) within 72 hours by SMS through any Teletalk prepaid number. It should be noted that even if all parts of the online application form are filled and submitted, the online application form will not be accepted in any case until the application fee is deposited.

3. After submitting the application fee, the candidate can download the admit card containing information such as roll number, photo, date of examination, time and venue name, etc., from 21/06/2023 at 10 AM to 27/06/2023 at 5 PM using the User ID and Password. Can print (color).

2. The admission test will be held according to the indicated syllabus of the Higher Secondary Examination in 2022 conducted by the Boards of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
3. There will be a multiple-choice portion of the admission test.
4. There will be 100 questions on the question paper, each of which will carry two marks, and the exam will last one hour and twenty minutes.
5. 0.50 (zero decimal five) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
6. A black ink ball pen should be used to fill out the answer sheet. Applicants should enter their roll numbers in English in the appropriate fields. If a pencil is used on the answer sheet, it will be considered invalid.
7. It is prohibited to use a calculator, electronic device, watch pen with a device, mobile phone, or any other device during the admission test.
8. An examination shall be deemed canceled if a candidate commits malpractice during the admission test.
Selection of candidates and preparation of results:
The merit list will be determined centrally based on the marks obtained in the admission test. The merit list of the candidates selected for admission will be published college-wise according to the merit and preference order of the candidate. College-wise waiting lists will be published subject to vacant seats and admitted students will have the opportunity to change colleges in order of merit and preference.
Instructions for Applicants:
- A downloaded admit card must be brought to the admission test and for future operations as well.
- Before starting the admission test, applicants must arrive 45 minutes early at the admission center and 30 minutes early at the examination hall.
- Admit cards should contain rules and regulations that applicants need to follow.
